James Murray Saint Louis Concert reviews
Two of the three performers were great.
James Murray's team let him down, resulting in a three-star rating. Despite his great job and top-notch musicians, the tech team failed to deliver. The visuals to support the music were odd and the sound was too hot, with distorted piano. The stage was dark, and some screens remained empty. We could never see the whole stage or musicians properly. On the screens, James Murray appeared small and surrounded by darkness, leaving much to be desired. The audience, except for those in the front rows, had a less than ideal viewing experience.

"I will continue to catch James Murray whenever I can. But ohhhhhh the music! So thanks to the artists for a great summer concert! Makes no sense! Didn't appreciate the upselling to people who paid 10 bucks to sit on the lawn. Upgrade the folks that purchase tickets early and pay full price. Why pay full price when the cheap seats end up being in your row or ahead of you! While I will think twice about ever attending a live nation concert, I'm a new fan of Kem. All four of these guys set the mood, and gave their all. I didn't know just how good he was."

I bought them for a theatre in Ridgefield, WA and we live near Detroit, MI -- only 2,400 miles away! My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this year. To do something special, I bought James Murray tickets for her on ticketmaster.com. I booked a flight for us to Portland. The musicians were outstanding. The sets were extraordinary. The concert was fabulous. I had a couple days to sightsee before the concert. Our only disappointment was that the audience was standing throughout most of the concert, so it was hard to see. Speaking of "standing," it was still an enjoyable experience, though.
